RADARS
The Rochdale & District Amateur Radio Society

The club has been in existence in its present form since 1990 and has been located at the Bamford and Fieldhouse Cricket Club since 1997.
The club callsign G0ROC was allocated in March 1992 and is now well known on the VHF bands particularly during contests. Current membership includes both licensed amateurs and short wave listeners whose interests range from Vintage Radios, Slow and Fast Scan TV, Satellite Communication, Computers, Microwaves, QRP and Home Built Equipment to Photography, Motor Racing, Model Engineering and Flying. The club is also 'twinned' with the Amateur Radio Society of Winchester (Virginia, USA), WA4RS

We are registered to hold all levels of Amateur Radio Licensing and always welcome newcomers.

We are located in the Bamford and Fieldhouse Cricket Club which is situated in Bamford village, just off Norden Road near the junction with War Office Road. Access is via a small road (Hollin Lane), which is close to 'the Grapes' pub. There is a small car park, for about 20 cars. The club opens on Monday evenings at about 8pm and finishes at about 10pm.
