About Us
Rochdale’s largest and most luxurious Chinese Restaurant, China City, Nelson Street, Rochdale, is now open.
Well known and established in Rochdale, with New China City in Newhey, and New China Palace in Littleborough, we have a fine reputation for top quality food and service. China City is by far our largest business with 250 covers in the main restaurant and a private VIP dining lounge for 40 people upstairs.
We also have a vast exquisite selection for you to choose from to make your taste buds soar, but if you can’t come in to be wined and dined don't worry, we will bring it to you with our Take Away Service.
Decor
We turned to one of the most prosperous and glamorous periods of China - the Tang dynasty (618AD-907AD).
Instead of paintings, we have plaques on the walls; the plaques are not mass produced but direct reproductions taken from the frescoes and embossments of the Tang Dynasty specially produced for the project. Eighteen spectacular lanterns hang from the ceiling forming a magnificent sight as one enters the restaurant past the indoor water feature and traditional Chinese furniture.
- Our Dim Sum bar serves 7 days a week from 12 till 3pm.
- Special lunch buffet available Friday to Sunday 12 till 3.30pm only just for £5.90 per person (£4.50 for children under the age of 10), and you can eat as much as you like.
