Show Case 2004
Date published: 01/12/2004
Rochdale Council's Children, Schools and Families service have organised 'Show Case 2004' to be held at Rochdale Town Hall on Thursday 2 December, from 11am to 4pm. Entry is free and is open to anyone who is working in this area.
The whole of the Town Hall has been taken over for the day and the Show Case
event will highlight over 100 service providers - including those from education, health, social care, the voluntary sector and leisure - who will be together under one roof.
The event is a result of earlier consultation when professionals requested an opportunity be created to gain a greater awareness of the range of services that Rochdale has to offer. The Show Case will give the opportunity to meet informally, to talk with other practitioners and to collect additional information from providers.
Rochdale Council's Children, Schools and Families service is leading the way nationally in responding to the Government's Green Paper 'Every Child Matters'. This paper focuses on improving outcomes for all children from birth to 19 by tackling service fragmentation and promoting a joined-up, effective, early response to ensure that no child slips through the net.
The Children, Schools and Families Partnership aims to coordinate all health, social care, education and voluntary services for children, young people and families in the borough.
