Rochdale appoints new Transformation Programme Director

Date published: 20/06/2008

Rochdale Council has appointed Mark Widdup to the role of Transformation Programme Director. The role will oversee a dedicated programme office bringing together the majority of internal change projects in the council.

Mr Widdup, formerly Head of Business Partnerships at the council, will initially be seconded into the role for a two year period.

He said: “Rochdale is going through an exciting period of change. We already have ambitious plans in place to systematically improve the services that we offer to our customers and the creation of a new programme office will accelerate the pace of this change and ensure that we have the right skills to take the organisation forward.”

The new programme office will support projects such as the council’s improvement programme, Stepping Up, and the building of the council’s new Rochdale town centre offices.
