Milnrow Library to celebrate 100 years of service

Staff and users of Milnrow Library will celebrate 100 years of library service on Friday 4 July. With a number of activities taking place at the library on the special day, a series of celebrations will take place right through to July 2009 to mark the occasion.

At 10am on 4 July children are invited to a Teddy Bears' Picnic to read stories and have fun at a special party to celebrate the Library's centenary. To book a place call Milnrow Library on 01706 641563.

At 2.15pm local historian Pam Godman will host an hour long discussion, exploring local customs and traditions in Milnrow from 100 years ago to the present day.

Milnrow Library is open Mondays 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 7.30pm, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 9.30am to 1pm and 2pm to 5.30pm, and Saturdays 9.30am to 12.30pm.
