Contact cards bring Police closer to neighbourhoods

Rochdale’s Neighbourhood Policing Teams are using contact cards to raise public awareness of neighbourhood policing and to increase their accessibility to the public.

The cards are available at police stations and numerous community venues. They list telephone numbers and e-mail addresses for each of the five teams, as well as the areas they cover.

Chief Inspector Julian Snowball of Rochdale Division said: “We want to make it as easy as possible for the public to email, telephone or speak directly to officers responsible for their area to report incidents or raise any concerns.

“Neighbourhood policing is all about ensuring that people can discuss with their neighbourhood officers the issues that affect their communities.

"These cards are an effective way of improving communication between the communities of Rochdale and their local neighbourhood policing teams.”
