Healthy Futures and Making it Better
Date published: 19/01/2006
In an article published on Rochdale Online today entitled ‘Letter from Parliament,’
http://www.rochdaleonline.co.uk/News/news.asp?ID=1271
Paul Rowen talks about the two public consultations currently underway in the north east of Greater Manchester, East Cheshire and High Peak – ‘Healthy Futures’ and ‘Making it Better’.
While we wholeheartedly support Mr Rowen’s endeavours to encourage the public to have their say and attend the two public meetings scheduled for Rochdale, we would like to emphasize to your readers that one of the most effective ways they can let us know their opinion and views is by completing a response form which is available on our website www.bestforhealth.nhs.uk/healthyfutures, at the public meetings, in libraries, GP surgeries etc or by calling the Healthy Futures helpline on 0161 655 1449.
On another note related to the same article, I would like to clarify that the telephone helpline number quoted in the article is only relevant to Healthy Future queries and information.
If readers want information about the ‘Making it Better’ consultation which focuses on healthcare services for children, young people, parents and babies in Greater Manchester, East Cheshire and High Peak, then they need to ring 0800 587 2901.
