Hopwood Hall Launches Campaign to Raise Funds for Springhill Hospice
Date published: 03/01/2006
A group of 15 students of Hopwood Hall College have recently joined forces to raise vital funds for Springhill Hospice. The Administration Level 2 course Students have really pushed the boat out to gather together new ideas for their fundraising efforts. They have allowed themselves 3 months in which to raise as much cash as possible, beginning in January and ending in time for the Easter break.
Yvonne Warburton, Course Tutor at the College said, “We are delighted that the Students have decided to support such a worthy cause as Springhill Hospice. Not only will we be able to work closely alongside the Hospice Fundraising Department and learn a lot from them, but we will also be able to see exactly what the money is being spent on”.
The students have come up with ideas such as packing shopping in supermarkets for donations, raffles within the college and competitions.
Leyla Nejad, Community Fundraiser said, “We are all looking forward to working alongside this enthusiastic team. They have got some really good ideas up their sleeves and it will be very interesting to see how well they work out.”
If anyone would like any more information on how they too can begin fundraising for Springhill Hospice, contact the fundraising department on 01706 711144.
