Superintendent Pharmacist appointed at United Co-op

Janice Perkins has been appointed Superintendent Pharmacist, at United Co-op Health Care, the 150 strong chain of community pharmacies covering much of the Midlands and North of England and North Wales. She will be responsible for the quality and development of the professional services provided to patients and customers.
Janice is a Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain and gained a BSc (First Class Honours) at Manchester University. Her early career was with Boots where she was successively a branch manager, district manager and then Regional Professional Development Manager. She joined United Co-op Health Care in 2000 as Business Development Manager for its Northern Region.
As well as serving Bury and Rochdale Local Pharmaceutical Committee, Janice is Family Health Service Partnership Chair within Rochdale Primary Care Trust.
In her spare time, Janice, who has a nine year old daughter, is heavily involved in her local community in Litteborough, Lancashire, as a Chair of governors at the local school and a Sunday School teacher.
