Touchstones Rochdale goes Continental!
Date published: 02/06/2005
The award winning arts and heritage centre, Touchstones Rochdale, may certainly have captured the ‘hearts and minds’ of its many thousands of visitors since opening its doors some two years ago – but now it is going after their stomachs! The Centre’s popular café has revamped its menu after carrying out market research amongst customers.
Changes include a brand new continental breakfast menu served between 10.00am and 11.30am where warm croissants can be enjoyed while reading daily newspapers. Also new is a range of Hot Panini’s, a re-vamped selection of healthy eating sandwiches and drinks for children as well as improved vegetarian choices and a new ‘calorie counter’ range.
Catering Operations Manager, Joe Hunt said:
“Around two out of every three visitors to Touchstones spend some time in the café and for a few people that’s their main reason for visiting”, “From a recent survey, it was clear that people were looking for a healthy option that was good value, with quality ingredients, and we were happy to be able to respond to that”.
Along with the new menu, a new ‘Loyalty Card’ has been launched which will enable regular visitors to claim free hot drinks.
Touchstones Rochdale is located on the Esplanade in Rochdale town centre. The Centre is open seven days a week, Monday to Friday 10am-5.30pm and Saturday and Sunday 11am-4.30pm (including bank holidays) with a museum, four art galleries, a heritage gallery, Tourist Information Centre, Local Studies Library and shop.
