Butterworth completes Milnrow & Newhey ARLFC coaching line up

Milnrow and Newhey ARLFC have finalised the coaching set up at the club with the appointment of Alex Butterworth as senior coach with Marvin Connolly ans David Ramsbottom as his assistance's. Butterworth is well known amongst the Rochdale Rugby League fraternity for his no nonsense approach and his belief in a high degree of fitness for sides under his tutelage.

Training for the Milnrow and Newhey is Tuesday 7-8pm on Firgrove, at present it is just Touch Rugby but nearer the season full training will resume and will be extended to two nights a week as they prepare for the upcoming season.

To increase awareness of the club, Milnrow and Newhey are hosting a Reunion at Firgrove Working Mens Club on the 14 June at 7.30 pm. Ex players from any of the previous set ups along with committee and supporters are urged to go along and "relive the great times the Rugby League teams have had over the decades".

Trevor Haigh has joined the club's committee bringing his "vast wealth of experience and knowledge of the local amateur game".
