Cash boost helps local amateur football club

Rochdale Club, Roca Juniors have benefited from linking up with SponsorBank in support of their efforts to develop their club.

Following the free support and advice from the SponsorBank team, Roca applied for grant funding and was successful in attracting several thousands of pounds, with which to buy kit and equipment, together with the services of qualified coaches.

Paul Marr, Director of Rossendale based SponsorBank, said: "We are delighted to be able to help yet another "grass roots’ sports club and trust that the advice we have given will help Roca Juniors build upon an already solid infrastructure, to create a club the local community will embrace"

Samar Mushtaq from Roca Juniors said: "It was so easy, all we did was make contact with SponsorBank and they helped use through the seemingly impossible maze of the application process. Within a few weeks we received a grant from the National Lottery Awards For All programme and SponsorBank supplied us with the kit and equipment we needed."
