Audit Commission inspector seconded to Link4Life

Date published: 03/06/2008

Audit Commission Local Government Inspector, Peter Kilkenny has taken up a six month secondment with Link4Life, the Rochdale Boroughwide Cultural Trust. His appointment builds on a voluntary Audit Commission inspection that took place shortly after the Trust was launched in 2007 and a partnership in developing the long-term vision for extended cultural services in the Borough of Rochdale.

Mr Kilkenny is a specialist in the sport, leisure and culture field. Within the Audit Commission, his role has also extended into the Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) agenda which will come into force in April 2009.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Kilkenny said: “I welcome this opportunity to work closely with Craig McAteer as a clear industry expert and I look forward to working with all colleagues at Link4Life in what is clearly going to be a challenging time”.

Managing Director, Craig McAteer, welcoming Mr Kilkenny to the organization said: “I am extremely pleased that the Commission has had the foresight to agree the secondment. Peter will certainly help the Commission to understand our sector and his expertise will be valuable in turn in driving forward our business and demonstrating the outcomes that Link4Life will deliver on.”
