Police close 1,000-strong illegal rave!

Local police have confirmed that they shut down a rave close to Ding Quarry last Saturday night. Almost 1,000 people turned up to what one resident described as their ‘worst nightmare!’

There have been no arrests but the resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “This was a nightmare, they started arriving and just kept coming. The music was unbearable and I am pleased to see that the police did an excellent job of closing it down.

This is the last thing we need, especially with all the uncertainty about the future use of Ding Quarry and the constant nuisance of quad and other off road bikes that we suffer from weekly. Is no time sacred?”

The police were called after reports that loud music was disturbing local residents and animals. The police monitored the situation before closing down the rave at about 11pm.
