Deafening silence over former Innes centre
Over the past three months Rochdale Online has reported on the attempts by Christine Arrowsmith to get answers about the sale of the former Innes Centre School site on Ings Lane. In an apparently bizarre series of events, Ms Arrowsmith's initial question for the public forum of Rochdale Township wasn't asked. The fate of the emailed question to the Township office was shrouded in mystery.

After dogged persistence over several weeks there was a response from an officer working for Rochdale Council's "partner" company the Impact Partnership. This raised more questions than it answered. In mid April Ms Arrowsmith immediately responded to the Impact Partnership's letter. A copy was published by Rochdale Online:

Her questions raise fundamental questions about the management and disposal of publicly owned assets, public accountabity and communities' voice in the democratic decision making process.
Almost a month on, there has been no reply from the Impact Partnership.
