Benefits Bus brings advice closer to you

If you need advice on benefits, get on board the Benefits Bus and talk to the experts!
The Benefits Bus mobile advice centre will visit five places across the borough next week (starting Monday 21 May) and be open from 10.30am to 3pm.
The bus will be at:
- Asda (Rochdale) on Monday (21 May)
- Rochdale Town Hall on Tuesday
- Middleton Gardens on Wednesday
- Morrisons (Newbold, Rochdale) on Thursday
- Heywood Civic Centre on Friday
The experts on the bus will be there to help you claim every kind of benefit, whether provided by the Government, the Council or other agencies.
Experienced staff from Rochdale Council Revenues amp; Benefits Service and Advice Services, along with staff from the Pension Service and Housing Energy Group will be available to give advice.
So if you need help with your rent or Council Tax bill, or you want to know about pension credit or how to save money on your fuel bills - get on the bus!
The Benefits Bus has been bought with Government money and is being operated by a group of councils to improve take-up of benefits across the region.
The bus will be touring all over Greater Manchester in the coming months and will be back in Rochdale towards the end of the year.
If you can't get to one of the places the bus will visit you can still get benefits advice by calling the Council's benefits advice contact centre on 0845 121 2970.
