Rotary Club looking for new members
The Rotary Club of Rochdale is looking for new members. The club was formed in 1926 and has over the last 80 years raised thousands of pounds for good causes and provided help and support for people both here and abroad.
Two new members have recently joined the Club: Paul Rowen, MP for Rochdale and Michael Tomlinson, a Mental Health Worker.
Rotarians put "Service above Self". "There is so much more that you can do by working together", says the President David Acton.
The Membership drive is being organised by Vice-President John Kay who says: "Rotary is a fine organisation to join. We have several more applicants who will join the Rochdale club over the next few weeks.
However, I am looking for a new type of Rotarian. We need people between the ages of 30 to 50 who will form a New Rotary Club with younger more ambitious projects. I am looking for men and women who have never thought of joining Rotary. They will, within the guidelines laid down by Rotary International, develop a new club which meets and operates to accommodate their other commitments.
Anyone who is interested in "Rochdale New Rotary" should send an email to jkay@molesworths.co.uk and he will send details and invite them to the club to experience Rotary.
