Stand changes at Rochdale Bus Station
Date published: 19/08/2008
Bus passengers in Rochdale will be catching their buses from different stands this week as the town’s bus station stops are reorganised.
Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE) believe the changes will see buses having to travel shorter distances to get to and from their stands and will make it easier for buses to get in and out of the station.
GMPTE’s Interim Service Delivery Director, Michael Renshaw, said: “The changes will improve safety and make the station more efficient.
“Our staff at the station and in the Travelshop will be able to help passengers find their stands and to deal with any queries.”
GMPTE staff have put up posters about the changes at all stands at the station.
Bus users can check their services before travelling by calling Traveline on 0871 200 22 33. (Calls from landlines cost 10p per minute. Mobile and landline networks may charge more.) Lines are open from 7am to 8pm, Monday to Friday, and 8am to 8pm at weekends.
