Nutters Crystal Ball

It was a night of sheer extravagance on Saturday evening when Nutters Restaurant celebrated its 15 Birthday. Fellow celebrity chefs Brian Turner, Giancarlo and Katie Caldesi from BBC 2’s “Return to Tuscany”, David Myers and Simon King joined Andrew Nutter in celebrating this great milestone.

Guests indulged in some of Andrews’s specialities all taken from the restaurants 15-year journey. Seared diver caught scallops, Goosnargh duck and St Asaph lamb being some of the highlights.

Guests were also treated to a fashion show by top designer Vicky Martin and hosted by Channel M’s Jemma Gofton, she even designed a chef’s jacket for Andrew studded with Swarovski crystals which later auctioned for £1000.

A quirky celebrity chef spoon auction raised £2000 where Andrew had rung his chef friends including Heston Blumenthal and Simon Rimmer to send in an autographed spoon, which were then framed.

In total, the event raised £6,500 for Rochdale’s Springhill Hospice.

Nutters have contacted Rochdale Online to say that a mystery guest from Saturday evening has just donated another £1,000 as he enjoyed himself so much!
